Anantara Siam Bangkok, Thailand – Open The Door To A World of Privilege

Guests at the Anantara are surely amazed once inside the hotel lobby. And when I first entered I also had the feeling that I had been there before. Then I recalled I saw the lobby and the lounge bar in a scene from the Netflix serial ‘Jack Whitehall, Travels with My Father,’ when Steven Seagal pushes Jack into the lobby’s outer pond. Wow!

Discover the heartbeat of Bangkok through luxurious authenticity – In the heart of one of the world’s most enigmatic capital cities, Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel offers discerning travellers a luxurious retreat to enjoy life’s finer pleasures and engage in soulful, original journeys.

Anantara Siam Bangkok is located in the most central area of Bangkok and offers easy access for exploring everything Bangkok has to offer, whether you’re staying with us for business, shopping, cultural sightseeing or a cruise on the Chao Phraya River.

For the Anantara hotel brand, the facilities and services are their primary focus. Starting from check-in, which is fast, yet friendly. A large, clean room with a welcome message on the television screen and flower/fruit parcel greeted us. The hotel also provided a mobile phone to make free calls anywhere – unfortunately, except Indonesia:( 22365486_10213885746688303_5768863186013308448_n

Breakfast in the Aqua open garden restaurant was our favorite every morning. The variety of food and drink on the menu is so diverse it was hard to choose.22405400_10213891092821953_1342037734359212050_n

A relaxing retreat from the capital’s buzz, this open air dining and cocktail lounge features homely furnishings in a garden courtyard setting to offer a delicious rendezvous spot. Cool down with freshly squeezed juices, iced drinks and virgin cocktails, as well as a range of draught beers and the best exotic Thai cocktails in Bangkok.

For lunch at Biscotti’s Reserve, we tried the signature dish: Sea bass, Tasmanian salmon and rock lobster spaghetti Aglio Oli, with Panna Cotta for dessert. Oh, so yummy!22366288_10213891794599497_1671195504686382885_n

Indulging in the passions of Italy has a lively edge at this contemporary restaurant. The kitchen-to-table dining concept is reflective in the eight seat chef’s table.

We were also spoiled for choice when we had dinner at the Spice Market restaurant (voted “Most Delicious Thai Restaurant in Bangkok).” The menu includes poo nim phad prig thai orn (stir-fried crispy soft shell crab with peppercorn sauce and chili) and roasted crispy pork salad. Delicious, indeed!

Take a culinary tour of Thailand’s regional specialties. Designed to resemble an old Thai spice shop, the restaurant exudes Thai hospitality and charm, and offers a menu of fine Thai cuisine, with spices that can be tailored to individual tastes and well informed staff who will happily make recommendations.

I also tried the Anantara spa for 90 minutes. A warm herbal thermal therapy, containing Thai herbs and spices, was followed by a full body massage using bamboo and herbal oils. It was unique and very relaxing.22448185_10213892650740900_2264534125559505691_n

To quote Martin Short, “I pretend I’m one of the royal family when I’m in a hotel and that the hotel belongs to me – it is a palace.” Yes, I felt like a queen at the Anantara!
